Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone and a Happy New Year !!! What are you doing for Christmas? I am going to My Nana Coals and Pops house in Kaiaua.

My family and I are going down there to Celebrate Christmas and Every Christmas Time me and my family go to Kaiaua and Celebrate Christmas. What I Enjoy is Seeing my Family that I have not seen in ages. Which Is Really fun and I Get to hang out with my cousins.

Then after Christmas we go back to our house the next morning and spend time family time together. After New Year for the Holiday I am going to my Aunty Jills House because I dont let my mum and dad spend time together and I am really conferrable around my aunty Jill but she won't be around she will be at work and I will be with my cousin Charlee Girl. For Christmas I am very luckly because we get a lot  of stuff.


So I would Like to say Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Keep Safe Year 8's You Guys were the Best and Please Everyone Keep safe over the Holidays and go back to school Ready to learn and see if anymore new people come in to your school and thnx Year 8's you guys made my Year 7 Year the best.

My Reflection 2015

a. How do you feel about this year?  I have felt happy. Happy because  of the fun times Team 5 has had.

b. What did you find especially satisfying this year?

What I have found especially satisfying this year is Rainbow End When I went with my friends and also the amazing race it was a fun time to have with friends. Me and my group was working as a team.

c. What did you find especially frustrating/difficult this year?   What I found frustrating this year is having different teachers and also waking up early to go to school.

d. If you were to to give yourself a grade out of 10 - 10 being awesome…what would you grade yourself? Why?  10 because I have worked really hard and put effort to my work.

e. In what ways did you contribute to team 5 in 2015?

I Contribute by help fundraise money for team 5 so the can go on trips and also help the triathlon group raise money so that they can go to nappier.

f. What would you change for yourself in 2016?

I Would change being more focus on work and also finishing my work on time and being nice to people and help kids not cause fights.

g. What might you want next year’s teacher to know about you (things you’re good at)?  Helpful Girl and play more sports and participating in more things.

h. What things might you want more help with?

Finishing my work on time and also help so that I don't get grumpy.

i. What could you show your teacher from your blog to help her/him understand those things? I would post things on my blog so that I can understand more and make more sense.

Google Expendition

It was a normal Tuesday morning for the senior students, but there was one difference. The bell rang and I ran to class. As I walked into the street I saw little cardboard boxes that were glasses. When Miss Hockley was finished doing the notices the year 8’s had to go to technology. Once the year 8’s left Mrs Tele’a had to explain to the year 7’s what the google expedition was, but first we had to get into our maori groups. Once we were in our groups and Mrs Tele’a was finished group tahi (1) went to maori with Miss Tito’s Group rua (2) went to do their literacy work and Groups toru (3) which is my group had to stay in the street with Mrs Tele’a and Mrs Clark’s son, Mr Clark.

Group 3 got to be first because our group was bigger than the others. Mr Clark let each of us get the glasses. We all had to make sure that we were being careful and holding them with 2 hands so that we didn’t break them. In the tiny cardboard box there was a phone which was connected to Mr Clark’s Ipad. Mr Clark’s Ipad had different locations that we got to see. When the teachers had picked a place we then had to look through the glasses to see where we were. When you looked through the glasses you could see everything and it felt like you were actually in the place. In most of the places there were things that we had to spot like animals, insects and people. Whenever the teachers wanted to ask us questions or needed to talk to us they paused our screens so that it says “Paused by teacher” or “Waiting for teacher”.

We saw a lot of different places and learnt more things about different animals and insects. Before they changed the places, we had to wait for the teachers and answer questions about the insects. Some people tried to touch it but they remembered that it was only a picture. When group one came out of maori we had to go to Miss Fuamatu and write about what we did in the street. Group two went to maori with Miss Tito and then it was group threes turn in the street with Mrs Tele'a and Mr Clark.

Manaikalani Film Festival

It was a hot sunny day, the Yrs 7 & 8 are waiting for the bus to come and drop us off to Sylvia park. “Why are We going to Sylvia Park?” thought my new friend “Well this is where we go every year in Term 4 we create movies for kids and teachers from different schools to see and watch what we have been doing for the last few weeks.”

Waiting and waiting until beep beep the bus has arrived we lined up in Boy and Girl lines. up we go on the bus, with our partners. We are now traveling to Sylvia park. We couldn't wait to see lots of different kids creating their own movies.

Oh and I just forgot that we were also excited because it was Ruapotaka school came with us and it was there first time coming to the Manaiakalani film festival. Out we go, we walk and walk until until we went inside the movie theater, walking past our Whanau the presenters.

Up goes Mr Burt introducing himself to schools, students, teachers and Presenters. The movie has begin at the back of me I could hear people cheering for their friends and supporting people. We watched almost 30 movies, some of them were interesting and cool. I was so embarrassed because it was our movie next, our movie was about the Air New Zealand Ad. “Here comes the Men in black” said Alizhay next to me. I could see Alizhay dancing, It was about to finish.

It was the last movie, sitting and waiting until it was time to go back to school. My Favorite Movie was Room 2 It was Called a Little Germ. Did You Know? That a little germ, Can Make Everyone sick if you pass it on. How can you make you feel better. You Can Put hand sanitizer on and you will feel better because it takes a little germ to make people sick.

Athletics 2015 P.E.S

On the 13th of October 2015, Pt England School had Athletics Day. There were 4 Teams which were Hokule’a, Hinemoana, Te Aurere and Hikianalia. I was in Hikianalia Go Yellow! “Okay Girls Let's move on to the next activity” said Ms Hockley. It was time for High Jump. I was walking with my friends whispering to them saying "I won’t make it, because I have short legs."

“Don’t worry at least you will give it ago and you tried your best” replied my friend. Miss King was telling us the instructions and we went off. There was 1 mat that was for the people that will just be doing it for fun and the other mat will be for people who wanted to come 1st 2nd or 3rd.

I couldn’t decide which one I would go to so I said “I am going to go on the Fun Mat” but because Miss King wanted me to go I didn't want to because it went higher and higher but I won’t make it. So It was my turn on the fun mat, than I went running as fast as I could and wondering if I could make it “JUMP” said my friends behind me, So I jumped and YAY!!! I did it.

My Confidence was back I was standing at the back of the line yelling “Make it Higher Make it Higher.” It was much harder now. I took a deep breath when it was close to my turn. Breathing in and out. Okay I am getting ready. My face looked really serious. I ran as fast as I could. I jumped and, oh no, my foot touched the pole and there it went - it suddenly dropped at the tip of my toe. “Oh Well at least you tried your best” said my friends behind me.

Overall it was fun doing High Jump. I didn't know I could make it through the first pole. Yay!!! Later that day I was so proud of myself. Next year I am wanting to go into the High Jump Competition to come 1st, 2nd or 3rd. If I don’t, I can try another time, but I hope I will make it. That Athletics was the best Athletics I have ever had. I look forward for having another time.

History Of Superman......

Man of steel...red underwear or blue underwear? Why did it change? Dc comics wanted to change Superman’s underwear to blue because they wanted a sleekir gritted modern.

Krypton...What is it? Krypton is a planet Krypton is a planet where Superman was born on.Chemical element with symbol Kr and atomic number 36. It is a member of group 18 elements.

Why was it Inportant for Superman? It was Inprtant o Superman because  it is where he was born and it is home Planet.

What Part did Superman’s Paerents have in His Survivial? They sent him away to saftley so the he can survive on planet Earth.

Original powers?Did he fly in the beginning? Supermans Original Power were super-strength, super-speed, super-senses, and invulnerability.

What Changed in term of his Superman Powers? Able to fly.

Daily planet - his workplace...how does he adapt between his human workplace and being a superhero?He has glasses when he is in his workplace and when he is a superhero he has no glasses and he has rubble costumes.

Hello My name is April Edwards. So Far for what I have been doing in the school holidays is going to my mum's course at Best Pacific. I love going to my mum's course because I get to meet new people like my mum's tutor Joanna.


My Mum does her course Monday,Tuesday, Wednesday,Thursday's. I also like it a Best Pacific because we can go on the tablets and a usually get something for me. All Next week I will be coming in and maybe my sister Nyree but my mum will have to ask Joanna.

Introduction Paragraph

So far for our literacy class we have been creating our own personal logo. We spent a lot of time planning what it's going to look like,what colour it’s going to be and many other important things.We researched some things to give us a good idea of what our logo design is going to look like.

First thing we had to do is make a list of things we really liked .For a example what I really like is spending time with my family so I drew some pictures of me spending time with my family.Once you list all of your favourite things you can draw some pictures next to your favourite thing to give you a fair idea of what your logo is going to do .

The next thing you do is draw some pictures that is the same size as your thumb . The reason why we had to draw it the same size your thumb is because it just supposed to be a rough small sketch . Once you draw at least three to four pictures you have to pick the two that you like best and then judge which one has most of your personality .

The third thing you do is draw your final logo design on hyperstudio . You have to draw it exactly what you did on your piece of paper . Once you have drawn it on hyperstudio you can add more detail like your favourite colour and other things you want to add to it.

The last thing is to trace the pitchers of what you have put on you Logo slide and put it on the hyperstudio. Then.Then when you have drawn it check it out and see If you like it or not. If You don’t like it ask yourself why and what did you do wrong

I hope you enjoyed my session about teaching you kids & Olders about creating your personal logo. Creating a personal logo is one of the most important things you can do as a designer. Please give it a go and if you get angry never give up because champions never give up and everyone is a champion.

Cross Country 2015

On September the 3rd Pt England Was supposed to have their Cross Country but It rained so It got rained on till September the 7th.Guess What we had it because the sun was shining.But the yuckiest part was that their were really yucky mud puddles and it made us dirty and It was disgusting.

If you come 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the Cross Country you’ll go to inter zone with everyone else who came 1st, 2nd and 3rd.WOW that will be a lot to handle they will run really fast I bet.WOW that is so amazing GO POINT ENGLAND SCHOOL!!

First was the Year 1 Boys man they were fast It is because they practiced and practiced and never gave up because they are champions. It is because they had a little run they only had to run around the gold post and then out the gate then throw the finishing line. Next was the Year 1 girls I said ooooh noo here goes my sister but the funny thing she was at home because she was sick.But her Friend Madison she came First out of the year 1 girl’s.

Third was the Year 2 boys then the Year 2 girls then so on and so on.But when It got to the Year 5 boys Yea then Next Was the Year 7 boys.Year 5 girls then Year 7 girls.Out of the Year 7 girls who game first was Elizabeth Uea,Juliet Mavea & Melenoa Vaka. WOW those girls are fast.MAN I can’t believe that.

Lastly was the Year 6 boys then the Year 8 boys then the Year 6 girls then the Year 8 girls.Last Year Elizabeth Uea,Juliet Mavea & Melenoa Vaka came 1st, 2nd and 3 rd when they were Year 6’s Man those girls are fast they did not stop they were really tired and had 4 drinks of cold water each.I would stop halfway and then walk some way and then run the rest. I game 12 me and my friend Ashley.

The best thing I liked about Cross Country is that I am proud of myself that I  didn't come last because usually I will and I didn't because I kept trying and never gave up.So If you still have to do Your Cross Country Never give up.Here is a tip chin up & shoulders back & have a straight back Please. If You give up you may come last so DON’T GIVE UP.

Wenesday,July 1st 2015  Creative Writing

Titian Goes to Work and he is 27yrs old.Angelina stays home and is 32yrs old.Ella Goes to school and is 5yrs old.The Scary ape is 40rs old and goes around kidnapping people.

When Titian is at work and Ella is at school this guy comes and say come with me Ella says NO but the ape takes Ella buy the hand and takes her.

Ella starts screaming MUM!!!!!! & DAD!!!!!!! HELP!!! the mum and dad can’t hear her,so the neighbours hear Ella.The Neighbours say give me her or I will ring the police.

The ape did not give ella.So the Neighbours rang  111 the police.They said they will be on there way.What is wrong little girl say a girl that is the police.This Scary man kidnapped me from school.I said No I do not wan’t to come but he grabed me by the arm.

Then at the End the ape is nice.Then they live happily ever after.

World War 1 Movie

This term we have been learning about the ANZAC soldiers and WW 1.  In our literacy class, we have been reading different stories about the things that happened during the war.  The one thing I found most interesting was when I got to have a part in the movie with all my friends,and I liked how we all took part in our movie.

It was not fun for the ANZAC soldiers because they had to go on a lot of adventures and most of them got killed. My writing group decided to write a movie script to show some of the things we learnt about WW 1.  Our movie is about warriors who had sacrificed their lives for their country and their loved ones.Some of them must of been really scared and missed their family and others that they knew. If you were brave enough would you go to War and why?I would not go to war because I would miss my family too much and I would be afraid that I would get hurt.

In World War 1 people sacrifice their lives for their country.People that had training to be a  soldier would do anything to be a soldier they would even sacrifice their self for their loved ones.When they got ready to go they done their last goodbyes before they left.After the War there was a lot of people injured in the War. So when they got back home there were people missing the people that had died for their  sins and for their loved ones.In the War the people would fight for their family and to serve  the War to make that nobody in the war will invade the whole world and were happy that their  family will be safe and  that they will make their family was more happy that they have won the war

POLYFEAST 2015 YAY

It was a hot moring when the year 7&8s had to go to polyfeast.Guess what it was the 40th anversiry of polyfeast Manukau woaho.

First we had to sit on the damp grass and wait for the speacil guest to arrive guess who it was prime minister Jhon Key.When Jhon Key left everyone had to move along to their activites.

The activites that was the best for me is when we got to spend  time with our paerent helpers and tennis racket because we had to swing the bat as far as we can.

I Look toward going to polyfeast IF we can in 2016 when I am a Year 8,Because polyfeast was the best ever because we got to go in heaps of draws.

First Day Back

Hey guys welcome back to Pt England school it was my first year at Year 7.  I really like being a year student because it has awesome teachers.
